We didn’t start FIND YOUR WAY NORTH® for recognition.

We started because too many people are still unheard.

Because mental health still carries shame.

Because homelessness is still invisible.

FIND YOUR WAY NORTH® is a deeply personal response to our lived experience with mental health and ideation and the shame, stigma and silence that stays with you.

It’s in honour of a loved one who experienced homelessness firsthand

It’s for the individuals still walking through their challenges, wondering if they’ll find their way through.

What mattered most about being named a finalist in the 2025 Whittlesea Business Awards was the courage that followed in the room. The individuals who shared their stories with mental health and losing mates to suicide.

It was the courage in the room to sit with the hard truths when looking away would have been easier.

It was knowing that our community was willing to hear what too often gets left unsaid.

A short interview was played on the night, sharing our story and the purpose behind FIND YOUR WAY NORTH®. We’re incredibly grateful to have had our voice and our vision heard.

And we’re only just getting started, with a mission to raise $10,000 by the end of 2025 to support the work of Backpack Bed for Homeless, Black Dog Institute, and Complete Health Geelong.

We were asked to stand. We’ve walked through a lot together.

Watching our story unfold on screen, in front of everyone. It’s a different kind of brave.

Two people who never expected to be here. A little awkward, a lot grateful.
